Bargain Beauty Faves

Most of you know that I am a pretty big BARGAIN shopper!  This includes my beauty and makeup products.  Here are just a few of my favorite bargain beauty products that I love...

1.  Avon Magix Primer:  I have fairly oily skin, and this primer really helps.  Even here in the humid hot Memphis weather.  When my skin is behaving, I use this under my mineral powder, and that is all I have to wear.  I usually order it from Ebay, but of course, you can get it from an Avon rep.
2.  Rimmell Lash Accelerator Mascara:  I have been using this for about a year, and I have been AMAZED at how long my lashes have grown.  This stuff is great!  I picked it up on sale at Walgreens and I had a coupon, so it was super cheap.

3. I love cream blushes.  They just stay on so much better than powders.  This one from E.L.F.  is only $1 I think.  It lasts forever.

4.  Loreal Endless Timeless Tawny Lipstick:  I learned about this color from Tiffany D.  It is the most beautiful, easy, versatile color, ever!  The sad part is they have discontinued it, but the great part is recently I have found them at Big Lots for $1.50-2.00.  If you see me rummaging through every Big Lots I am near, now you know why.

5.  E.L.F.: Eyeliner pen:  I can hardly leave the house without eyeliner, or I look like a corpse.  This is also only $1.  It draws a great dark, waterproof line, which you can make as thin or thick as you like.  I buy these 5 or 6 at a time because they are so cheap.  Target has recently started carrying it, which is great because I don't have to pay for shipping.

Hopefully, I can share some bargain hair buys with you soon...  Let me know if you try any of these (or if you see my lipstick at Big Lots).

Arm Candy

I am so crazy about bracelets. To me they are a totally easy and affordable way to add fun and interest to ANY outfit! Unless I am wearing workout clothes I am almost always wearing a big watch and a bunch of bracelets. Here are some of my favorite combinations...

This is my go-to combination. My gold ebay watch with some fun brown and gold bracelets from H&M.

Here is a dressier silver combination. I might wear this on a night out when I need silver accessories. The silver watch is from Stein Mart. The skinny silver bangles are from Charlotte Russe, and the Yurman-inspired ones are from Jun Lee. The one with black on it was found in an old jewelry box of my Mom's.

Here is the same silver watch in a more casual combination. The leather with silver studs is from Target, the silver bangles I picked up in Cozumel on vacation, and the friendship bracelets are from Gordmans.
I usually wear some combination of the above pieces to church or other dressier events. I typically wouldn't wear all of these at once (but I might). The skinny gold bangles and chanel-inspired bracelet are from Ebay. The other bracelets wear found in some old jewelry of my grandmother and mother-in-law's.

Krafty Kelly: Embellished T-shirt

Here's another idea I got from Sweet Verbena, I just LOVE her tutorials!

It was so easy! I picked up the t-shirt from Old Navy for about 4 dollars and the lacy trim was about 3 dollars from Hancocks. I think it would have been super cute on a tank as well. I think I am going to love this in the fall with a cardigan and brown flat boots.

Style Diary: Play Double Date

My hubbie and I went out to a casual dinner and play with some friends. Here is what I wore:

Occasion: Casual double date
Striped sequin tank: $16.99 Gordmans
Jeans: Paige skyline cropped $60 Marshalls
Watch: ebay
Bracelets: miscellaneous stores and garage sales.
Gold hoops: Not sure but I am always buying cheap ones when I see them because they turn so quick.

Summer Wardrobe Favorites

GUESS, Paige, Chinese Laundry, Banana Republic
Distressed Denim by Paige
Pumps by Sergio Zelcer
ShopStyle

I saw a post on another style blog about the pieces she has worn the most this summer. I thought I would share my top 10.
1. gladiator flats
2. white Nine West purse: $35 at Ross. I love this purse! It has tons of pockets and brightens up any outfit.
3. Ann Taylor Loft t-shirt: Got this on sale for about $15. The ombre colors are so flattering, and the slouchy-ness is super comfortable. Looks great with white or black shorts, or regular or white Jeans.
4. Black and brown wedges: $12.99 Burlington. These also seem to go with everything.
5 and6. Black shorts and white shorts: I think I am usually wearing one or the other of these everyday.
7. Chinese Laundry cognac heels: $24.99 from Marti and Liz, these are actually extremely comfortable and the color goes with lots of outfits.
8. Paige skinny ankle jeans: $60 from Marshalls in West Palm Beach. Greatest pair of skinny jeans ever! They are so comfortable, the slightly cropped length makes them more summer-ish, and they look great in the fall and winter with boots.
9. Gold watch with bling: $16 from Ebay. Love this layered with other bracelets. Wear it almost every day.
10. Purple clutch purse: 50 cents from a garage sale. Definitely the find of the season. I have been shocked at how many outfits a purple purse has gone with. I love the 80s style of it.
