Funky Combo

I wasn't sure about the combo of blush and rust even though I have seen some other bloggers out there wearing it, but after I tried it, I am sold.  This blush dress/tunic from H and M is so versatile.  I have dressed it up for a cocktail party and dressed it down with leggings.  It is pretty short though, so leggings or tights are always in order.

Krafty Kelly: Crazy, Skinny Pants

I picked these up at the thrift store back in the early fall.  I loved the crazy pattern and thought they would be really fun at Christmas time.  The bottoms were a bootcut/flared style and they were a smidge too short for me, so I decided to make them into skinny pants.
I basically used this tutorial, but I only stitched up the inseam, not the outseam.
I think they turned out really well, and I have been enjoying wearing them to Christmas parties this season!

Red Nails and Diamonds!

Are you heading to a holiday party this weekend, and want to paint your nails a festive red?
I have found THE BEST RED NAILCOLOR!

Crawford's Wine by Orly

This is a gorgeous deep red with a crystaline finish.  Whenver I paint my nails this color, I get complements from cashiers when I am signing credit card receipts (and I assume they see lots of nails).  I have purchased this at Sally Beauty Supply in the past, but recently found it at CVS.  Give it a try for the holidays!

Also, thanks to a call from my MIL this morning, I was able to score some great looking diamond stud earrings for $49.

the promo code is TODAYDIAMONDS

Daytime Sparkles

These days it is perfectly acceptable and fashionable to wear sequins and sparkles in the daytime.  The key is to pair them with things that are casual and not too "evening-ish."

Private Sale Sites

If you are a lover of fashion, you may get lots of emails from private sale sites such as Rue La La, Haute Look, Gilt, or Ideeli.  I recently got a question from a good friend of mine asking about how to approach these emails.  She was getting a little overwhelmed by all the brands on these sites and was wondering which brands to keep an eye out for.

She and I both thought this would be a good post for the blog.

I do get emails from all of those sites, and they overwhelm me to the point that I usually just delete them.  One site that I do really like is called Shop it to Me.
When you sign up with Shop it to Me,  you tell them your favorite designers, stores and sizes and they send you personalized e-mail alerts that feature the latest markdowns, secret promotion codes, and sale events. Your email or  "Salemail" will be sent to you only as often as you like.  I get mine twice a week. I really like Shop it to Me because it has lots of high end items, but it also features sales at lower priced stores and brands if you choose them.

I like Shop it to Me because it is just more tailored to me and my style and budget.
I have a link to sign up on my Kelly B Style facebook page, so head over there and sign up if you are interested.

So you do Shop it to Me?  Another private sale site?

Head Gear

Sorry. Posts are taking a back seat to my Christmas card orders right now. Hope to be back to being a better blogger soon. In the mean time, here is my new little winter headband. It is warm, cozy and cute. Do you have a Favorite winter accessory?
