Style Diary: Bumble Bee

I love yellow and black together, but I never want to look too much like a bumble bee, so I try to avoid stripes and add white where I can.  I wore this to Mothers Day dinner the other night.

Mothers Day

For Mother's Day this year I broke out my fishtail hem skirt. The last time I wore it, it was winter and I paired it with boots and a long sleeved shirt, but I think I like it even better with a plain white tank and statement necklace. By the way. I love this tank.   I ordered it from Athleta and it has a great built in shelf-bra so you don't have to worry about your bra sticking out.

Style Diary: Black and Blue

My house is a bit turned upside down right now, so I haven't been able to take pictures of myself. Here is a little glimpse at what I wore to church on Sunday. Probably looks better here than it did on me anyway.

Black wrap dress, cobalt tights, leopard pumps, layered necklaces and bracelets.

There is still lots of good stuff at my online garage sale, check it out.

Style Diary: Memphis in Memphis

Recently, I got to have a date night with my husband to see the musical Memphis.  It is a wonderful show, if you get a chance to see it, GO!  I was also excited to wear this fun Kensie tunic that I found at Ross a long time ago on clearance for $11.99.  I paired it with my black leggings and these fun new wedges I got at the Nine West outlet at the beach for $29.99.

Style Diary: Church Robe

I am taking a break from the 14 Fall Formulas today because it is my birthday and I like to be lazy on my birthday.  Instead, here is what I wore to church last Sunday...

Our church is super casual, so dark cropped jeans are fine.  I picked up this top at Anthropologie (I had a gift card and it was on sale).  At first I thought it looked like a robe, then I decided I really liked it.  Please excuse this weird side pose, I was trying to show the ponytail.

Top:  Anthropologie, $19.99
Jeans: Paige Skyline Cropped, $60 Marshalls
Shoes: Nordstrom Rack

Check back again Monday for Formula #6!

Style Diary: A good addition

I picked this fun flyaway cardigan vest at Belk on a recent trip to East Tennessee for around $20.  I have been able to wear it with several outfits.  Here it is with a simple tank and white shorts for running errands.
I got this little sundress at Gap Outlet for $20.  It was a little skimpy for church, so I threw the new cardigan over it and it looked more appropriate.
Then I belted it over another sundress for another look.  I think this is going to be great heading into fall...
