Recently, my hubby and I got to get away for a few nights to a great resort in French Lick, Indiana. Here was what I wore:

Tube top: JCP $4.99
Striped skirt: $9.99 cutesygirl.com (out of business I think)
Studded belt: $12.00 Gap
Cognac cage heels: $24.99 Chinese Laundry via Marti and Liz (Knoxville).
Purple clutch: 50 cents, local garage sale

Fall Shopping...

Here are some of the things I will be looking for as I start my fall shopping...

1. Tie neck blouse, preferably vintage. I will be scouring Ebay for this one.
2. Striped cardigan. Since I love stripes as a neutral. I feel this could go with LOTS of outfits.
3. I am currently a little bit obsessed with clutches, especially ones that look a bit 80's inspired.
4. Flat boots- I have a pair of these that I wore to death last winter, so I would love to find another pair that look a bit different, perhaps with straps or buckles or something.
5. Comfortable and casual wedges to wear with long flared jeans.
6. Red Jeans
7. Floral palazzo pants. Can't believe these are coming back in style, but I am pumped!
8. More bracelets. Another recent obsession of mine are bracelets, especially friendship bracelets.

Mom's Closet Consultation

When I was at my mom's house a few weeks ago, we had some fun picking out some cute outfits. Mom is a school teacher and needs to be somewhat comfortable. Once we looked at everything, see was so inspired and excited. She also realized how many clothes she had in her closet! Mom and I have different styles, figures, and lifestyles, so this consultation was a fun challenge for me.

We paired this great boatneck purple banded top with black pants and a long turquoise necklace.

Mom had never worn an all-white outfit, but this was so cute on her!

A simple navy blouse looks great with a long necklace and colorful bangles.

We thought this would look great for a dressier event like her school open house or church

She had this great zebra cardigan that she had never worn with anything but black or white. I showed her how great it would look with pink or green or any bright color and she loved it.

Mom has tons of embellished neck t-shirts. This neutral colored one looked good with a light-weight leopard scarf and some bermuda shorts.

We didn't get around to much winter styling, but I did see this great pink plaid shirt with some ruffles on the front. I thought it would be so great with her cream winter vest and her uggs.
