BBQ Fest

We headed down to BBQ Fest last week. Comfy shoes were a necessity so I went with my gladiator flat sandals. I love this tribal print tube top I found at an outlet mall in Florida.

Style Diary: Bumble Bee

I love yellow and black together, but I never want to look too much like a bumble bee, so I try to avoid stripes and add white where I can.  I wore this to Mothers Day dinner the other night.

Mothers Day

For Mother's Day this year I broke out my fishtail hem skirt. The last time I wore it, it was winter and I paired it with boots and a long sleeved shirt, but I think I like it even better with a plain white tank and statement necklace. By the way. I love this tank.   I ordered it from Athleta and it has a great built in shelf-bra so you don't have to worry about your bra sticking out.

Floral Pants

Well, it has been a crazy week. Moving is the WORST, but we love our new home and are starting to get settled. The weekend of the move I had a family bridal shower to attend. Getting dressed in the middle of a just moved in house is not easy, so I was happy to find these floral pants at the front part of my closet. I found them at the thrift store a couple months ago. They were too big so I had to alter them a bit, but now I think they are super cute.

Neutral and Neon

Neon is a big trend for this season, but it can be a little intimidating to wear.  The easiest way to wear it is to add it as an accent to a neutral outfit.
Be on the lookout for neon belts, hangbags, jewelry and shoes and then you can add a neon pop to some neutrals that you already have like khaki, nude, white and taupe.
