If you are a lover of fashion, you may get lots of emails from private sale sites such as Rue La La, Haute Look, Gilt, or Ideeli. I recently got a question from a good friend of mine asking about how to approach these emails. She was getting a little overwhelmed by all the brands on these sites and was wondering which brands to keep an eye out for.
She and I both thought this would be a good post for the blog.
I do get emails from all of those sites, and they overwhelm me to the point that I usually just delete them. One site that I do really like is called Shop it to Me.
When you sign up with Shop it to Me, you tell them your favorite designers, stores and sizes and they send you personalized e-mail alerts that feature the latest markdowns, secret promotion codes, and sale events. Your email or "Salemail" will be sent to you only as often as you like. I get mine twice a week. I really like Shop it to Me because it has lots of high end items, but it also features sales at lower priced stores and brands if you choose them.
I like Shop it to Me because it is just more tailored to me and my style and budget.
I have a link to sign up on my Kelly B Style facebook page, so head over there and sign up if you are interested.
So you do Shop it to Me? Another private sale site?

Head Gear
Sorry. Posts are taking a back seat to my Christmas card orders right now. Hope to be back to being a better blogger soon. In the mean time, here is my new little winter headband. It is warm, cozy and cute. Do you have a Favorite winter accessory?

Pregnancy Styling
Last week I met up with the lovely Jess at the JC Penney at Wolfchase for a little maternity styling session. We had a great time! We went to JCP because I had remembered them having a great maternity section when I was pregnant, but once we got there, we were a bit dissapointed with the selection in the mommy-to-be department. That didn't stop us though. We scoured the store for regular clothes that could be worn with a baby bump, and we found some GREAT stuff...
Hope this post is inspiring to some of you preggos out there. As you can see, very little of what we used was "maternity." If you have some great basics, you can dress them up many different ways!
Thanks to Jess! She was an AWESOME model, and a great sport!
We started with this great tie waist blouse from the Juniors section. It was flowy enough to go over her bump and we just tied it above the bump instead of at the waist. Then we tried it with a cream cardigan, a fur vest, and a sweater vest. The only maternity clothes in these pictures are her jeans!
Another great find from the Juniors clearance rack was this flowy cardigan blouse. It looks so chic over a black maternity tank and some dark boot cut maternity jeans.
This non-maternity cardigan had some gold flecks in it. We thought it would be fun for a holiday party.
Another cute cardigan over a red maternity tee.
This plaid maternity tunic looks fun with a puffer vest. This puffer vest wasn't too puffy, we liked that.
Finally we found this great striped blousy tank in the juniors section. We thought is looked great with a black cardi, a knit military jack, another military jacket and Jess's scarf, and a leopard cardigan blouse. (Sorry the last pic is blurry, but we just loved that combo).Hope this post is inspiring to some of you preggos out there. As you can see, very little of what we used was "maternity." Style Diary: Turkey Day
Here is what I wore to the Bourland family thanksgiving lunch this year...
Had to take a back and front picture of this blouse because the back is the best part. I saw this top on the clearance rack at Marshalls. At first I couldn't figure out how it worked, but after I tried it on, I loved it, especially for $6!
Top: Marshalls $6
Tanks: unknown
Pants:MJR Sales $12
Shoes: Loft $19.99

An Exciting Find!
When I tell you about my new find, you will understand why there is no picture today. My kiddos needed some new undies so Knox and I stopped by Sears the other day after working out (Sears is right next to my gym). Next to the kids section was the ladies lingerie. They had some undies on sale and I picked up a pair of the lacy thongs. THESE THINGS ARE AMAZING! I have never worn such a comfortable pair of thongs. Normally I only wear them when VPL is a major issue, but I have worn these all day and I can't even feel them.

Women's Thong Panties- Apostrophe-Clothing-Intimates-Panties
On the website it looks like the only have black, but there were lots of colors at the store. I picked up the beige/nude color.
Give these a try, I think you will be glad you did!

Gone Fishin'
I saw this fishtail hem skirt at TJ Maxx at the beginning of the fall, but at $39.99 that seemed a bit steep for a skirt for which I had no occasion in mind. But when I found the same skirt on the clearance rack for $15, I thought I could find an occasion. Turns out it is extremely versatile. It can obviously be dressed up with some pumps and pearls, or I can dress it down with some rugged boots...
Shirt: $6 MJR Sales.com
Skirt: $15 TJ Maxx
Boots: $18 Marti and Liz
