Earrings really brighten up your face, and they are always a great finishing touch to your look. Since they are typically the very last thing I think about or put on, I like to have some easy go-to earrings that don't take much thought.
It is great to have some basic earrings that will go with lots. If you are wearing other bold accessories (scarves, bracelets, necklaces) then you want to keep your earrings understated. There are also times when I want a bigger earring when my other accessories aren't as bold.
I would suggest having:
1. One small pair of gold stud-type earring
2. One larger pair of gold hoops or tear drops
3. One small pair of silver stud-type earring
4. One larger pair of silver hoops or tear drops
5. Some pearl studs
6. A fun colored earring like turquoise, since it goes with everything!
Some options...
If you have these options, you should almost always have the perfect earring to finish your look without thinking!
Only a week of October left, are you feeling more fashionable? Any suggestions for things you would like to see? Let me know!

Day 22: The Top Knot
I am so excited about this hair trend! The top knot or messy bun is the ultimate easy hairdo! Throw your hair into a high pony tail, tease it a bit, wrap it around and tuck it under your elastic or bobby pin it down and you are DONE!
You have probably seen tons of celebrities and fashion bloggers doing it...
And here's me... I think you will be seeing me do this one A LOT! Easy, cute and comfortable! Love it!

Day 20: Black and Brown Together!
For some of you this may be a no-brainer, but I know for some it is not. It is OK to wear black and brown together (gray and brown too)! I have even had clients ask me if I would please post this on my blog, so they would feel more confident wearing the combo.
Here are a few examples of me wearing black with brown and gray with brown.

Now try to imagine these same outfits with black shoes, and you can see that the brown creates a much more interesting look and less "matchy match." When doing black with brown, choose a brown that is lighter, closer to a cognac or a camel, so there is more contrast. Think of that brown as just another color, not as a neutral.
If you embrace this idea, you can see why flat brown boots, are a wardrobe essential.
Need more convincing? I created a black and brown Pinterest board. I think once you see these amazing looks, you will feel fully confident wearing black and brown together.
What about you? Have you tried this, or seen others trying this?
